On verra bien…

The countdown has begun for my midterm (June 3), and our next exam will be on September 22 I think.
Everyone keeps telling me I will be fine, but I don’t want to feel too relaxed, as there is a lot of information I still need to digest. We need to get 75% to pass, so you can imagine how stressed out some students must be!
We’ll see… Que sera sera ;-)

YES! I can do the practical for my June exam. We have a 2-hour theory exam, plus 45 mns of practical and then the teaching. My rib injury was preventing me from doing it, but now it seems I am SO alive and kicking, (and REALLY grateful for being alive and (quite) healthy) that we decided to give it a shot… It would have been really frustrating for me otherwise. I have been climbing ever since I started working out again a couple of weeks ago, and have really invested a lot of time and energy trying to get better, so it is only fair!! :-)

That’s it, I am teaching for real! OK, it is at home so not exactly like a real work environment, but the groups are real… 2 groups of 4 people starting this Sunday… I will be playing apprentice Pilates sorcerer twice a week for 5 weeks.
My program is ready, so I just have to practice it and be ready to say the words… lift pelvic floor, engage lower abs, squeeze those inside thighs together, watch that your pelvis doesn’t move, keep your shoulders anchored in their back pockets, glutes are relaxed (or not)… the works!

I would like to thank my friends who, straight away, signed up for the 2 classes . They must really trust me and be open to learning Pilates… that, or they love the idea of 5 free classes ;-)

Gotta go to class, see ya!

Almost a month without writing, you must have thought I got abducted by aliens!
If I wrote as much as I talk, you would get posts every day, but then my natural laziness takes over and you don’t hear from me.

I think from now on I will start writing about nothing, instead of trying to picture you our life Down Under… that’s an idea. ;-)

What’s new in Melbourne: we are looking for a new place, bigger so that I can start having more Pilates equipment and teaching mat classes at home. I am going to start a beginners class very soon, as my mid-term is near (June 3). I should be on my way to the studio to practice, but the blog appeal was too strong today, and the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet…

I am still suffering from that rib injury (sorry guys, that post was in French) and just starting to practice again. I have so much to catch up with, but hey, life without challenges wouldn’t be as much fun (right!).

Pascal is doing well, although his work isn’t as interesting as back in Europe. He misses the intricacy of large scale projects, but not the long hours spent at work I guess.

That’s all for today, folks. I’ve got to get goin’!
